Do I really need to say much more than that this wedding happened at a CASTLE and that the guys wore KILTS? Probably not…but that was only the start of the awesomeness of this day! Lynn was seriously radiant and she could easily make the cover of a magazine. The portraits I got of her before she saw Morgan for their first looks are some of my favorites. Morgan went traditional style with his kilt, and so there may have been a few mornings during the day…but I’ll let him be the judge of letting those photos out! For their first look, the first thing that Lynn got to see was one of these beautiful moons and her face was priceless. The Cherokee Ranch and Castle is such a unique venue with so many little nooks for photos that transport your out of Colorado straight into Ireland, so it was more than obvious why these two fell in love with it. I had so much fun with the wedding party. Everyone had such a great sense of humor. The ladies were so perfectly coordinated with their grey dresses, matching shoes and necklaces, and those flowers were so amazing! (Your Vase or Mine did an incredible job!)
When the bagpiper started to play, everything totally came together to set that true castle wedding vibe. It was such a special ceremony as the Ministers have known Lynn most of her life and they were able to shed some really great advice on their wedding day. After the ceremony the sun started to lower to that perfect golden level for some amazing photos of Morgan and Lynn out on the bluffs. It was a little windy, but I think it made their photos so much more romantic!
The keys to a perfect marriage are the people that love and support you. What a clever way to do seating arrangements. Perhaps the most immediately useful bit of advice from their guests was how to nail the perfect kiss – so there are lots of kissing photos during the reception! It was really fun that the DJ organized a game during dinner where couples were called out to perform a crazy kiss that Lynn and Morgan had to reenact. The rest of the night was as fun as you would imagine it to be and it was so hilarious to see the groom dancing to pop music in that kilt!
Lynn and Morgan – I have enjoyed every moment of our adventure together. Thank you for choosing me to be your photographer!
