What is better than a kid in a candy store? The answer is an english teacher in a book store. Then, you really make it awesome by adding her two favorite boys and letting them all play together. We headed to Tattered Cover with Laura, Brian and their one year old baby boy Andrew. It was so sweet to see Andrew wanting to pull all his favorite books of the shelf and sit down and thumb through them. Yes, he is only one but he is smart and curious and adorable. Andrew has always had the biggest smile. His dad would find a new book that would make noise or have a favorite character in it. He would squeal and giggle and make his way over to grab it. He also loved climbing in the chairs to read and play peek a boo with mom and dad. I love that the simplicity of a book store can turn into a colorful wonderland. Tattered cover is an awesome space. Their children’s section is huge and they encourage the kids to play and read and even make noise. It was the perfect spot to spend one of the last days of their spring break together.
What a fun time we had! Happy 1st birthday Andrew!

I love this old rocking chair that makes the space feel like a historic library.
Sometimes reading wears you out and you just have to lay down.
