Hayes is almost 8 months old and already a renaissance man. I met him, Erica and Mike in downtown Denver to explore some of their favorite things, music and books. Two of the best places in Denver are right next store to each other so it make it easy. The Tattered Cover is a Denver staple and probably the best book store in the area. We headed down to the children’s session to play and read amongst the thousands of books. I love all the texture and color in the bookstore. What I love even more it see a family enjoy each other. Hayes is the happiest little boy around. He was giggling and curious with each book he read. Erica and Mike are so playful with him. They can make him laugh with one look.
After we had our fill of Pete the Cat and adventures of llama llama we decided to go across the street and chill out to some music. Twist and Shout is hands down the coolest place. Their are thousands of records from the classics to obscure bands you have never heard. Hayes had a fun time browsing but ultimately wanted to pick his own music. Once again he was content with everything we did. It was fun to spend the day with just him and his parents and really see is personality shine. I look forward to watching him grow and seeing more of his personality when he gets to play with his older sister Kellan too. Today, however, was all about how great Hayes is and like I said already a super cool renaissance baby!
One of parents favorite things is readying with their baby.
Hayes is exploring the world of books at The Tattered Cover.
Looking for a new record at Twist and Shout as a family.
Hayes was trying to listen to every record possible.
Thumbing through the albums is the best part.
