Who says that maternity photos need to be done in a studio in black and white with dramatic lighting? Not that those shoots don’t serve their purpose, but how fun are Therese and Andrew’s maternity photos at Highlands Ranch Mansion?! Despite the blizzard-like conditions, this brave couple and Stephanie, our family and portrait photographer here at Elevate, made the weather work to their advantage. Therese looks absolutely stunning surrounded by the frosted trees and falling snow. And what better excuse to get a couple to snuggle in together than when it is actually needed for warmth!
The Highlands Ranch Mansion is a great location for portraits because it provides beautiful natural settings as well as historic architecture (and shelter from the storm in this case!). The soft light under the porch made for the perfect location for pictures. Their pup wasn’t having quite as much fun, but still endured the cold for a few cute shots. I also loved their adorable banner that says “we love you already”! Enjoy!
