This spring we hosted a friendly Mother’s Day competition for a free Mommy & Me session! It was based off instagram photos posted and tagged – and was as simple as the photo with the most likes won. Since Jessie is one of my very best friends, I told her about the competition. I had a feeling that her and her daughter could win something like this, because just look at them! I may be biased – but I think Olivia is amazing. She is a Mini Jessie. Her sweet personality melts my heart, and she says my name! They had to give it a shot!
Since knowing Jessie she has consistently and constantly made me feel like a part of her own family. From the time her and her now husband started dating, to the point of having the sweetest two year old ever she has included me in so much. I know this is something that all best friends do, but it’s a really big deal to me. I moved to Denver five years ago. It was a little scary, but mostly really hard to leave my family. I can’t even put into words how much it means to me that Jessie has essentially adopted me into her family. I get to be Olivia’s Aunt Allie that shares hair bows and ice cream with her.
This shoot right here is what makes me insanely happy that I get to show my love and gratitude towards the people I love through photography. I am so happy to be a part of Olivia’s life, and cannot wait to watch her continue to grow! -Allie
