The Coonts’ are a perfect family for a dreamy maternity photo session! Not only are they the cutest little family already but you add in Jessica’s killer style, Adam’s laid back humor, Harper’s adorable smile AND a perfect baby bump and you you have magic! I was so excited when Jessica called me to do maternity photos. I may or may not have seen all her pins on Pinterest about baby stuff and may or may not have been “patiently” waiting for the call. I knew she was going to have fun ideas and that her and I would be on the same page immediately when it came to photos.
So they headed down to our studio to start with some softer indoor lifestyle photos. We wanted the dreamy feel of the light pouring in and clean walls. Her outfit, as always was perfect, but I loved even more how Harper followed suit. She was perfectly smiling at me, cuddling with mom and kissing the soon to be baby. Adam steps in and always knows exactly what to whisper to Jessica to make her softly smile and how to tickle Harper to get her out of her “fake” smile.
We left the indoors to explore the sunny spring day at South Platte River Open Space. It has the perfect tall grasses for the winter. I love the days in spring where it gets really hot after a snow. The fields were glowing, the sky was blue, and it was perfect weather! We played with Harper. (she kept tickling me with the grasses) Adam and Jessica snuggled. I could not have asked for a better family, day or shoot. I had so much fun. I can’t wait until the baby is born!
