Introducing Ivan! He is about the cutest little baby boy you have ever seen. Not to mention the calmest. Although the general disposition doesn’t surprise me based on how great and mellow his parents Leanne and Scott are, it is always a little shocking to see a newborn baby so awake, attentive and just plain happy.
Ivan stayed wide eyed for the first hour of our shoot. He stared me right in the face most of the time. I think he could hear the sound of my shutter. He was focused and happy. It is so fun to see him just chilling with mom and dad and the two adorable dogs! The dogs were so excited to be in pictures and with the family that they were barking at the chance. When they got into the room with us they calmed right now and gently sniffed and licked Ivan. The whole time Ivan just enjoyed it. No noise or lick could get him out of his euphoria.
When it was time to get some sweet sleeping photos of him Scott jumped right in and was like “I got this.” Seamlessly, Ivan drifted into deep sleep and posed for us.
It was so fun to see Leanne outside of our normal meeting context as the wedding coordinator at The Sanctuary. She is amazing at her job and such a joy to work with. I am sure she will be a superstar at her new job as a Mom!
