Tony is one!! I can’t believe it and I am so glad. He is the cutest one year old I got to spend time with this month. His sweet little smile and laugh just makes me giggle every time. It is no secret that I love the Johnson family. I am sure I have told you all many many times. When they add little bugs like Tony, I just can’t help but be over joyed. If any of you know me, you know how excited I get just thinking about it. He is seriously so funny. I know why too. His parents are so awesome.
As soon as I got to their house, Sydnee showed me all the great things she had done for his birthday. She made a giant cupcake cake, with cut out faces of Tony (what?!) filled his crib with balloons, made a sign with all his favorite things (yes, hand lettered), made him a t-shirt that said “Mr. One-derful” on the front and “Tonio -01” on the back, and they bought balloons, moved furniture and hung banners. Who are these people? They just love and have so much fun with their little boy. As soon as Tony went in the crib he grabbed balloon after balloon and threw them at me. Then he started to eat them. He obviously had experience with the fun of balloons. This was not the only thing he had experience with. He dove into that cake like a champ. There was no exploring and tasting. He knew right away that he LOVED this cake thing and was going to shove it in his mouth with intent until he a. ate the whole thing or b. mom and dad took it away.
It was fun hanging out in the park, seeing him giggle, playing in his crib and eating cake with him. I even got my favorite baby in the sink shot of them cleaning him up.
Happy Birthday Tony! This is going to be #1 of many many awesome years!
