I love weddings. After doing this for 10 years I have seen a lot of weddings. Small ones, big ones, casual ones fancy ones and everything in between. After all these years I have realized that my favorite wedding is full of connection. Big and small connection. Nobody is a stranger, everyone is there to celebrate and most importantly all these people have come together to say “lean on us, we believe in this and are here to support in any way we can.” Madison and Jonathan’s wedding screamed that. I knew it from the first time I met Madison and her mom. They were sweet and down to earth. They talked more about the people of the wedding and all the things that would happen than they did the colors or details. They got excited thinking about Jonathan’s reaction to the first look and how her dad would cry when he saw her for the first time. We talked about family and love and the importance of all those people being there.<\/p>\n

The wedding day was perfect in every possible. way. Madison was glowing. She is so incredibly beautiful as it is and when she put on that dress we were all stunned. The day was warm with soft billowing clouds. The Sanctuary was looking as elegant as ever. They did a wonderful job mixing the soft elegant colors with the rich Colorado feel of the dinner space and pavilion. Jonathan had the biggest smile on his face as he walked into The Sanctuary. There was excitement but there was also ease about him. He was relaxed, ready and present.<\/p>\n

There were so many things that made this day special. Jonathan having all his brother’s at his side, Grandpa’s words of advice and observation of the love between Jonathan and Madison during his welcome blessing, Jonathan’s grandma on the dancefloor with all three of her daughters and Madison’s grandma whispering sweet words to her and Jonathan during family photos. These are just a small handful of all the special moments. I usually can find a stand out favorite but this time it is tied. The first happened during the blessing. Everyone’s heads were bowed and Jonathan reached over, grabbed Madison’s hand and kissed it softly. Then he rested in that moment with her so sweet and present. The second was Madison’s dance with her father. He wrote and recorded a song just for her and it played as they danced. There was not a dry eye in the house.<\/p>\n

These small moments are what give deep flavor to our lives and relationships. I was so happy to experience them with Madison and Jonathan. It was a wonderful kick off to a marriage that is going to be an incredible adventure! Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Stone!<\/p>\n
