Downtown Denver has changed immensely over the past few years as more and more people move to Colorado and settle in Denver.\u00a0 One of the best things about all this change is the number of high quality wedding venues in downtown Denver.\u00a0 As Denver wedding photographers we love photographing downtown and capturing a true urban vibe for our client’s weddings.\u00a0 There are definitely some venues that stand out over others as great places to have your wedding.\u00a0 Sometimes it is just the feel of the venue, but other things to consider are the location relative to other great photo spots.\u00a0 Here are some of our favorite venues that check off all of the boxes.<\/p>\n

Asterisk<\/strong><\/p>\n

Asterisk just recently opened as one of Denver\u2019s newest event venues.\u00a0 The took a historic post office garage from the 1920s and updated it to create a perfect backdrop for your downtown Denver wedding.\u00a0\u00a0 The property consists of a large main hall that has great light from south facing windows and skylights built into throughout the space.\u00a0\u00a0 They also have a rooftop patio that has views of the surrounding buildings and the mountains in the distance.\u00a0 It is a great place for your cocktail hour or a smaller ceremony.<\/p>\n

Blanc is located in the center of downtown Denver’s RiNo district and is a great space for your wedding day.\u00a0 The interior of blanc boasts a large main hall, exposed brick walls and a lot of great natural light, which is perfect for photos.\u00a0 It is a very flexible space that you can easily personalize with your own creative decor.<\/p>\n

The exterior space is a nice oasis in the middle of the city and is perfect for your ceremony and cocktail hour, especially on a beautiful summer night. The courtyard space includes leafy shade trees, market lights, and grapevines.\u00a0 The gazebo is a seated area is sheltered by a large grape arbor and features a market light chandelier.<\/p>\n

Denver Athletic Club<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Denver Athletic Club was founded in 1884 and is a historical landmark located in the middle of downtown Denver.\u00a0 The Club is one of the oldest and largest private city clubs in the United States.\u00a0 Their private rooftop deck is surrounded by high rises and gives you the feel of being in the heart of the city. \u00a0 They also have large ballroom, which has an elegant tear drop chandelier, if you are looking for a more formal location for your wedding festivities.<\/p>\n

Ironworks<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Midwest Steel and Ironworks that dates back to 1903 is newly restored and has turned into an event venue that is not only beautiful but historic. The original structure built over several years from the yearly 1900s through the 1950s.\u00a0\u00a0 They did an amazing job of creating an art deco feel from the 1920s.\u00a0 It feels like you have stumbled upon a speakeasy during the times of prohibition.\u00a0 They stayed very true to the architecture and design of the building and really brought it to life. Their remodel is highlighted by a beautiful bar, exposed brick, multiple chandeliers, and the original hardwood floors.<\/p>\n

This historic structure has been completely restored and offers you a landmark venue for your event.
