Jake and Ashley met at the wedding of their two best friends. Ashley was one of the bridesmaids and Jake was one of the groomsmen. They were “paired together” as the single and tall ones to walk down the aisle together. They hit it off and started the long distance relationship between Springfield, MO and Houston, TX. After many flights and packed weekend adventures, Ashley moved to Springfield in Jan of 2012 with Jake. \u00a0I always love hearing the about the path that leads my couple to their wedding day. \u00a0Who would have thought that something as simple as height could match two people?!<\/p>\n

I joined them and their wedding party downtown at the beautiful Renaissance Hotel<\/a> in Denver. \u00a0I loved that we had a chance to stop off at the local bar for a beer before we headed out into town. \u00a0Best idea for pre wedding photos with wedding party ever! \u00a0We then made the trek down to\u00a0Arrowhead Golf Club<\/a>\u00a0where they tied the knot and partied down with friends and family! \u00a0I saw one of the most unique ways to cut a cake at their reception. \u00a0Jake made a deal with Ashley that the one piece of input he was allowed was on how they cut their wedding cake. \u00a0See for yourself what he chose to use! \u00a0My other favorite part of the day was learning how special Ashley’s veil was to the family. \u00a0It is over 100 years old and has been worn by 21 brides in the family over the generations. \u00a0The veil is now on it’s way to France to be worn again this August. \u00a0Pretty incredible, right?<\/p>\n

I’m so happy for you Ashley and Jake. \u00a0Thanks for welcoming me into your family. \u00a0I’m sad that you guys don’t live in Colorado, I want to see more of your beautiful faces! \u00a0Congrats! \u00a0–Ryan<\/a><\/p>\n
