Ashley and Michael were in town from Houston to get some good skiing in this weekend as well as jamming at the bluegrass music fest. On their way back down the mountain they met me in Golden where they dated while attending School of Mines in the engineer program. What I loved about their shoot was that we navigated to all of their old stomping grounds. Ashley remember running the trail from Golden to the top of Lookout Mountain after school and they both remember the infamous overlook near Boettcher Mansion. We started off with beers and a picnic in the woods just like they did back in school.
As a nod to their self proclaimed nerdiness, we brought some old timey books held by a belt like they did in our grandparents time. How cute are they?! They snuck a kiss on the steps of the Engineer building where they spent the majority of time together. I love knowing that I was able to capture these moments so they can look back in 20 years and remember how they got started together.
I can’t wait for Ashley and Mike’s wedding this May at Twin Owls Steakhouse in Estes Park. It’s going to be a blast I know it! –Ryan
