Demi & Tim’s Forth of July wedding was special in every way. It honored both the culture and long standing traditions of Demi’s heritage with the ceremony at the Greek Orthodox Assumption Cathedral and also Tim’s service as a pilot in the Air Force and his love for his country.
There was a resounding clamor of “meant to be” from every one there. These two just fit so easily together. You can tell by the way they look at each other, talk to each other, walk together, and how they love each others friends and families as their own. My favorite part was just as Demi started her walk down the aisle and everyone stood up, I saw Tim worry and want them to sit down as he couldn’t see over them to see his beautiful bride. He slide over and his eyes lit up as soon as they locked on hers. It was just so cute. I also enjoyed being a part of a ceremony that has so many beautiful traditions. Not to mention that the Cathedral took my breath away as I walked inside.
Everything else was laced with beautiful sentiment. Demi made custom embroidered hankerchiefs for her dad, mother in law, and little nieces to share one day on their wedding day. Here Tom’s were custom pained by a friend and the heart on her dress was her mother’s favorite scarf. It was so beautiful to see her big sister as her maid of honor, watching over her and beaming.
But the day didn’t lack fun either. The bridesmaids and groomsmen were hilarious. They busted out pose after pose of silliness. Clearing having a wonderful day with their best friends. My favorite groomsmen pose was when they spontaneously all moved into the “sorority crouch.” I also loved the quick photo bombs and their playful attitude.
Mile High Station was the perfect backdrop to end the night. Their were custom games including hand painted jumbo Jenga, cornhole, giant Operation and giant Connect Four, a candy bar, and plenty of drinks at the bar. The dance party started out epic and only took a small break for the fireworks. Luckly, I got to see both the fireworks from Sports Authority Stadium, and between Tim & Demi.
