Event coordinators are a saving grace in our profession. They do a ton of work to organize and stylize a wedding day. When we started working with the ladies Curate Denver we were truly blown away. First and foremost SeAnna and Krista are good people. They are kind hearted, attentive and interested. They make you feel loved and important. So it is only natural that their business would thrive with similar attributes. Their creativity and style shines through every event they do making them a dream to work with both visually and logistically. Take a closer look and let me introduce you to the ladies behind Curate Denver, Krista & SeAnna.
– What services does Curate Denver offer?
Curate is a full service event design company that specializes in event planning and coordination, as well as customized design services.
– What distinguishes you from other wedding planning companies?
Curate started small and remains intimate. We pride ourselves in providing a boutique, interpersonal, and exceptional product. By accepting only a select amount of clients per year, we can ensure this model remains true. We pride ourselves in our ability to stay ahead of trends, ensuring that no two weddings we create will look the same.
– What do you enjoy most about the wedding planning?
The wow-factor is what gets us. We see so many amazing moments in people’s lives, but it’s that moment of “holy crap these two people are getting MARRIED” that we enjoy the most.
– What are some key tips for a bride and groom to have the best wedding experience possible?
We always tell our clients to remember that their wedding is about GETTING MARRIED to their favorite person and at the end of the day, that is all that matters. The wedding is just a PARTY to celebrate their marriage! It is one of the biggest and best parties of their life with ALL of their most important people in one place. I think that reminding people of this is the best tip we can give, as it truly helps to keep things in perspective. The little details are a nice touch, but ultimately it is about making memories and celebrating their future.
– What trends are you seeing in weddings both design wise and event?
For the 2018/2019 seasons, we’re loving the idea of ditching the typical “color palette” approach and going with a design based on feeling. By building our clients design aesthetic around emotion and the types of feelings they would like to convey to their guests, we can create a much more genuine and “true-to-you” vibe. If our clients are wanting a different emotion to be conveyed at their ceremony vs. reception, we love the idea of incorporating muted tones throughout, then adding a pop of color for each event. We also LOVE when our couples try to get guests involved in the flow of the wedding day by adding a DIY margarita bar, build-your-own centerpiece station, a creative photobooth area with live animals (llamas, please!), etc., etc. We believe that a successful wedding is when guests walk away feeling like they had a fun and unique experience.
– What are some of your favorite things to see at a wedding?
Our favorite things to see at a wedding are obviously fun, organization, and calmness – all of which indicate that we’ve done our jobs! We also love seeing guests from different parts of our clients’ lives meet – we find that some of the best connections are made at weddings.
– Who is your ideal client?
One of our favorite things to do with our clients is to take their slough of ideas and boil them down into one curated and cohesive concept. With that being said, our ideal client is one that maybe has a vision for what they WANT, but doesn’t know what they NEED to get there. Helping clients realize their dream wedding vision is why we love what we do.
– If someone is interested, what process do they go through to hear you and book you?
