We typically don’t post the commercial work that we shoot on our blog, but the fundraiser for The Kitchen Community organized by Bespoke Event Group made us break that rule! Our sister company, PurplePoint Business Photography, captured their amazing fundraising event, “Wonderland a Glamour Fairytale Party”, in a beautiful mountain location outside of Aspen that was spectacular in every way. From the creative activities that were available to the amazing food, there was something for everyone. The decor alone got you in the spirit, but the guests were dressed up as everything from Mad Hatters to the Queen of Hearts and made the party come to life.
Over the course of the evening the guests got to hear the amazing sounds of Aloe Blacc and Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel talked about the great work that The Kitchen Community is accomplishing in Chicago. The party and silent auction was hosted by former Bronco Reggie Rivers and they raised over $1,000,000 dollars for the organization to continue putting gardens in lower income communities in major cities around the United States. Once the donating was done, everyone continued the party inside the barn and danced the night away.
The Kitchen Community was co-founded by Kimbal Musk and Hugo Matheson in 2011. They are a 501c3 non profit organization that impacts nearly 100,000 children a day with nearly 300 Learning Gardens in schools and community organizations across the country. These Learning Gardens serve schools as outdoor classrooms and experiential play-spaces that connect kids to real food and empower them to make healthier food choices. They are designed to be a place where students want to learn and teachers want to teach.
