After witnessing the amount of weddings that we do, you gain an awareness of some of the commonalities between each wedding. Yes, there’s always a dress, a venue, some flowers, food and friends. Being single myself I’m actively seeking what it is that brings people together and what keeps them together. For Ben and Ashley, it’s their humor and their ever giving nature.
These two met at run club and surround themselves with a great crew. Jo and I had so much fun on their adventure wedding day! The boys got ready at The Curtis Hotel in the themed Kiss suite! The quirkiness of the hotel matched the groomsmen perfectly don’t you think?!
After finishing getting ready at Mile High Station, the ladies took a limo downtown so Ashley and Ben could see each other for the first time. We rallied around the performing arts complex and then wandered over to Union Station. I loved that they made the time for them and their party to enjoy a drink together. It makes such a difference! We even had the chance to sneak Ben and Ashley up to the lovely Crawford Hotel Bar. It’s one of my favorite locations in Denver!
After hijacking a pedi cab(thanks Jay) we gathered back at Mile High Station where Ben and Ashley declared their love in front of the people closest to them. I’m always in awe of the grand chandeliers at Mile High Station. The setting makes for an equally grand ceremony and reception spot.
This was the first wedding that I’ve been to since the Broncos rocked it at the Super Bowl. Ashley’s Dad was sure to make that part of his welcome toast. He presented a magic broncos cap for anyone to wear if they started choking up while giving toasts. It worked!
We finished the night with them while having fun with sparklers outside. I always love experimenting with the variable of fire and excited bridesmaids and groomsmen! Check out the fun we had….. Congrats Ben and Ashley! –Ryan
