Watch out everyone, Cara and Evan are heating up the mountains with their engagement session last week in Vail! Evan plays hockey and had just finished a game so it worked out perfectly after bruising his opponents to cuddle up with Cara and wander the woods and streets of Vail! They are an ultimate duo because Cara too has a wild side when she plays roller derby! I hope I get a chance to see one of my brides strapped up and breaking it down at her derby bout!
I had a blast with them stomping through the waist high snow to get the perfect shot among the grand aspen tree meadow. They warmed up in Vail Village with some hot chocolate by the river and famous bridge. Then they found a cute little skating rink and strapped up their skates for a few laps. I surprisingly didn’t fall on my bum as I met them out in the middle of the rink to see their skills. I had another first when Evan sped around the rink and stopped and carved right into my camera! I survived!
I can’t wait for more adventures with these two at their wedding this Spring at Blanc. I already know they have great friends because I recently had the pleasure of photographing Christina and Colin’s wedding where Cara and Evan were in their wedding party! So excited! – Ryan
