It was pretty amazing to finally get to shoot a wedding at the Dunafon Castle and I couldn’t have had a better first time there than with Emily and Chris! Their primary goal for their wedding was for all of their guests to get to relax and have a party that no one would ever forget and the completely nailed it. It definitely helped that they put all of the logistics and planning into Dana’s hands, the awesome owner of Weddings on 5th. She pulled together the best vendors in town to make this wedding pretty dang perfect.
It was really fun to start the day with the ladies at the Ritz in Denver. Emily’s bridesmaid made their cute getting-ready robes as well as many of Emily’s other accessories. I couldn’t get enough of how they were doing shots of Crown straight from the bottle – now that’s how you get the party started guys! When we arrived at the venue, it was just dress on and then time for the first look! Chris had the biggest smile of the day when he saw her for the first time. It was so adorable that their son Nicholas got to be a part of all of it. How cute is he in his little bowtie?!
The ceremony was short and sweet, just the way they wanted it. They were so smart to open the bar for their guests beforehand so that everyone was in good spirits for the entire occasion. The love and support for their marriage was so evident by everyone there and the emotions went from tears to laughs in split seconds during the speeches. And MAN – pretty much the coolest first dance ever. They invited everyone to come out to the gazebo to share the dance with them, and that launched right into the most magical rooftop dance party with the coolest reggae band I’ve heard. Yep, pretty awesome day! Thanks so much for trusting Ryan and I to capture these memories for you!
