I love Denver for all the different types of weddings we can have. We have the rustic natural of the mountains or the urban elegance of the big city. I have to admit I love a good city wedding. So last weekends wedding at the Denver Athletic Club really blew me away. Not only did Sweetly Paired and Denver Athletic Club put on a gorgeous event, Matt and Erin are amazing people. It made for an epic evening that I will never forget.
We started at the Denver Athletic Club getting ready. The boys had the privilege of using the card room. It is the perfect spot for boys to be boys. There is a pool table, darts, shuffle board, cards and good old fashioned whiskey. These boys needed a place to fit their vibrant and fun personalities. They were having a great time. The girls were in a room just upstairs from them with gorgeous windows and chandeliers. When I got there the girls were all laughing, dancing and relaxing. The room also fit them perfectly as they had all the space in the world to beautify (which they didn’t need as they are gorgeous ladies to begin with) but also the elegance fit their style.
We headed down the street for the first look at the Denver Center of Performing Arts. There was a live band performing outside. As we passed they played the wedding march. I hope the photos can describe to you much more than the words I have how fun this wedding was. The wedding party is one of my favorites of all time. They were funny and kept me guessing all day. They were excited and silly. When it was time to be serious you could see their love for Matt and Erin. Then there is Matt and Erin themselves. I have been looking forward to this wedding for a long time. They are so down to earth and easy to be around. You can see that Matt is always smiling and laughing. He is happy as can be. Erin is relaxed and up for anything. She always has a beautiful smile on her face and you can tell she is so at ease with Matt. Together they are dynamic. They are people you want to associate yourself with. You hope that they rub off on you just a little.
The ceremony was on the roof top of the club with views of the city. It was a perfect evening. The weather was calm and warm and we were all praising it for it being late October. As Matt came down the aisle the crowd cheered. He was enjoying every moment of it. When Erin walked down though he melted. It was so sweet.
The rest of the night was full of the same excited energy from all the people at the wedding. There were loud cheers and huge hugs everywhere. The party was pumping as they ate and drank. It was truly a night to be merry. I am so happy I got to be a part of a night that was so full of life. The happiness dominated my mood for the week to come. I know Matt and Erin are going to have an incredible marriage. They are two people who really bring out the best in each other and allow each other to shine brightly to the world. Thanks for letting me be a small part of an epic love.
Congrats!
A special thanks to the amazing vendors:
