Shawna and Justin‘s wedding is one of those that there is just so much AWESOME to tell you about that I don’t know where to start. So, just starting with the lyrics to their best-ever first dance felt appropriate. Not only do you get to see the photos, but we were also so lucky to have Christian film the day as well…prepare to have your mind blown when you see the first dance IN MOTION!! If a remake of Dirty Dancing is in the works, the new “Baby” and “Johnny” have just been discovered. Shawna is a professional dancer, they met dancing, and it goes without saying that Justin has some pretty sweet moves of his own. And as if that wasn’t enough to amaze their guests, Shawna and her family surprised everyone during the father-daughter dance with a full on Michael Jackson medley! Best rendition of Thriller I have ever seen.
The rest of the day was equally as monumental. For example, Justin wrote Shawna love notes every hour the morning of the wedding day. I mean seriously, who does that? So adorable. I loved watching Shawna writing her notes back…while doing the splits of course, I mean, I wouldn’t expect her to do normal things like writing letters any other way! Shawna had such a fun group of girls around her for getting ready. Her little niece made for most precious flower girl, and she got to take part in getting a fake tattoo along with the rest of the ladies – what a cool touch! I really don’t need to say this, because it is beyond obvious, but HOLY SMOKES what a beautiful bride!! Shawna literally should be in magazines, and I expect she will after these images get out there. Just WOW right? Not only is she gorgeous, but she has an incredibly beautiful heart. While I was making the day-of slideshow, she took time out of her day to rub my shoulders and ask if it’s OK if she just loved on me for a minute. That is the kind of person Shawna is and the only person who comes close in matching her kindness is her handsome groom. In her vows, Shawna talked about how Justin always reminds her that he’s “got her back” and I feel like that is such a perfect way to explain who Justin is.
Like I said, there is no way I can recount their day appropriately in words without taking WAY too long for you to just get to see the photos already – so let’s do that. Make sure to watch their incredibly first dance at the end! Shawn and Justin – Christian, myself, and our whole photo/video team is so honored to have been part of your day. We love you lots and couldn’t possibly wish you any more happiness in your marriage!
