So many prayers came true on Kami and Leon’s wedding at the Vail Wedding Deck and reception at Eagle’s Nest Lodge. It was a rainy drive up I70 and we were fully prepared for a soggy day. Kami’s smile melted through the rain when I greeted her and her ladies at Arrabelle. Sure enough, as we headed up the gondola, the last of the rain drops fell and it stayed dry for the rest of the day. We couldn’t believe it! The clouds that remained made for a comfortable adventure at 11,000 ft!
Guests joined them for the ceremony at the wedding deck which perches atop the mountain looking out onto Mount of the Holy Cross. After exchanging their tear inspiring vows, we wandered the wildflower speckled hills with their fun wedding party. I loved the color of the bridesmaids dresses. What color would you describe them as? All of the details of the day were immaculate and perfectly appointed.
After chowing down and sharing toasts during the reception, they partied down with friends and family. They took a break from the dance floor to soak up the most beautiful sunset I’ve seen this year. That sunset was a great symbol for the day. It reminded me how beautiful of a day it was to be alive and to share the love of these two most awesome people.
