Erin and Kyle had the most classic Denver city wedding that I have seen in a long time. The Oxford Hotel was the perfect setting for their “touch-of-Gatsby” style. I loved all of the hints of gold, and they balanced the vintage flair with modern elements to keep it super timeless. The Union Station part of LoDo is so cool because we had so many options for photo locations to match their feel so well. The ladies all got their hair and makeup done in the Oxford’s own salon, while the guys battled it out on Mrs. PacMan at the 1up, Denver’s coolest classic video arcade. Their dog Lola wasn’t able to be part of their wedding day, but they did well to keep her part of things. She got to be a topper on the cake, and her dog-sitter made sure to send text updates of her adventures.
After their first look and couples portraits around Union Station, we met up with their wedding party in the “Cruise Room” which is infamous these days because of Jack White’s music video, but also because of it’s 1920’s detailing and historic reputation in the city. They also have amazing cocktails which got everyone in the mood and made for high-energy photos with plenty of successful photobomber-dodging. Their ceremony was in the Oxford Theater with the original iron gate as the backdrop. They had readings from classic literature and one of their best friends served as their officiant.
The Grand Ballroom was decked to the nines with stunning white and green florals and gold detailing. The “oodles and oodles” inscription in Kyle’s ring was a super cool surprise! Erin and Kyle were very excited about making sure that all of their guests had fun and that their wedding felt like a celebration. They exceeded every expectation I had for a killer party – even their grandparents danced the night away! Thank you so much for allowing Ryan and I to be part of your awesome day! We are so excited for you!
Special thanks to all the awesome vendors who made the day possible!
