Relationships have so much history and details that we will never fully be able to see. It is so fun when a lot of that history and details are expressed in the wedding. That is exactly what happened with Megan and Jon. They got married in a unique and incredible location, Wondervu Retreat and Conference center. They have spent many of their years together working on this camp property, sweating together, playing together, enjoying the fresh air, impacting peoples lives and falling in love. It is a beautiful camp up in the mountains near Eldora. I loved how quiet and peaceful it was. But my favorite part was how relaxed and fun it made the wedding.
We had the whole camp property to play with. Megan got ready in the cabin on the lake and Jon in the lodge by the main hall. It was so fun to have their first look over the water on the dock and be able to explore the woods on foot and the lake via canoe. Since we also did their engagement photos up there they had been saying the wedding day we would get out on that water. It was SO worth it.
It was the type of wedding you are invited as a guest to and end up staying the whole weekend! There were lawn games and kegs, places to hike and bike and swim, incredible food (which is a no-brainer since Jon is a chef), and an incredible night sky to relax under.
Allie and I love these two. They are so fun together. They just laugh and laugh. It is so great to see them enjoying their day, their friends and family, and each other with such a lighthearted spirit. Their wedding party was no different. Everyone was joking around and laughing all day. Megan’s sister Liz especially had us rolling as she had a joke for everything.
The day was full of spunk and love. It was incredible to be with everyone and having a great time to celebrate Megan and Jon.
