Nicole planned the PERFECT wedding. She had everything down to a t. It included, Manor House, a gorgeous and elegant Colorado venue that sits perfectly in the foothills by Ken Caryl, the styling of the bride we all dream about being when we are little girls, details of their past lives, beautiful flowers that towered over the tables oh so elegantly, their adorable little dog who walked down the aisle just as he was supposed to and best of all a groom who made this wedding day not about the wedding but about the excitement of a lifetime together.
Nicole and Shannon met through a mutual friend Stacy. She had been saying that they should get together and although they were both dubious they decided to go. On a blind date, set up by a friend, every ones nightmare. But this turned into a dream as they found out they had so much in common from their drive and determined nature to their love of rocking out to heavy metal. Nicole is sweet and smiley and ready to take on the world. She knows what she wants to accomplish and works hard to get it. Shannon is the same way except he didn’t have to work too hard to get Nicole, these two just kind of fell in together.
I will never forget what Shannon said during his vows. He said “one lifetime with you will never be enough.” Yes, that is when we all started crying. The ceremony of this wedding was the highlight for me. All the emotion, the sweet and genuine things that were said, the deep connection as they looked into each others eyes and Nicole’s squeals of excitement right before they were pronounced man and wife. They started a marriage, a life long commitment to support, uplift, adore (even when you dont like) and love another person. To keep another person that close to your heart is something so special.
The party was the perfect exclamation point on the ceremony. The toasts were hilarious and had everyone rolling in their seats. After all the formalities, everyone enjoyed the Manor House like it was home. There was dancing, drinking, conversing on the patio, relaxing by the fire pit and more. Everyone was family. It was the way it should be, celebrated, revered and enjoyed.
Thank you Shannon and Nicole for letting me be a part of such a special day. You set it up to be perfect and it exceeded everyone’s expectations. I am sure that your marriage will be nothing less.
