You remember the adventures with Ondrea and Derek and their abandoned factory engagement session, right? I remember the moment that we connected while sharing the excitement of exploring abandoned structures such as schools, warehouses, homes and factories. Ondrea and Derek are photographers as well so I was a bit nervous to impress them! We hit it off quick at the engagement session and that carried through to their wedding day where I found the perfect industrial backdrop for their wedding party photos.
Allie and I started out at The Bella Sera and then met up at a nearby warehouse with the perfect contrast to their wedding party. This was definitely the first time photographing a couple standing on a stack of wood palettes! Ondrea surprised me when I joked about jumping up into the back of a semi truck for photos. Without missing a beat Ondrea said, “Give me a hand up!” Check out the final shot to see how awesome these two look together!
The wonderful staff back at Bella Serra made for a fun and relaxed time to celebrate with friends and family. My favorite memory was during toasts where Ondrea’s son Gabriel gave the sweetest speech welcoming Derek to the family. Not a dry eye in the house! It’s moments like these that make me happy to be a part of such a big day in a couples’ lives. Thanks Drea and Derek for welcoming me into your family! –Ryan
