Parker and Jenni had fun and beautifully quirky wedding at The Retreat at Solterra last weekend. Jenni’s parents live in the community so it was special to have the comforts of home nearby. She was especially excited to have her dog along with her for it all.
I felt like an old friend when I showed up that day. I photographed Jenni’s sister, Erin and her wedding with Tom 6 years ago! They now have an adorable son. I also photographed Jenni’s sister Emily for her high school senior photos. It’s been an honor to have been a part of the family for this long!
Parker and Jenni met in chemistry class and brought that element into their wedding decor. The room was filled with beakers and graduated cylinders filled with flowers. They even made a chemical reaction happen during their ceremony. Instead of lighting a candle, they combined two colored chemicals that erupted like a volcano. So cool!
My favorite moment during the reception was when their close friends who are amazing artists performed songs for their first dance. That memorable moment was followed closely by some of their tasty treats. They had grilled cheese with little beakers of tomato soup. That along with Lamars Donuts made this a very sweet wedding!
