Robyn and Dave have been waiting for this day for such a long time. Their wedding day marked the day they become husband and wife, but it also marked the end of their long distance relationship. Their wedding day started off like any other – full of excitement and joy. But one thing stood out to me, everyone was so calm through it all. The cloud was covered in rain clouds and there was an occasional flash of lightening. None of that phased anyone, because Robyn and Dave were getting married!
Of course, one of the greatest parts of Colorado is the weather. As the saying goes “If you don’t like the weather wait five minutes.” That’s exactly what we did, and we got so lucky. The bridesmaids were able to hike out to a beautiful overlook and get back inside before the next spurt of rain hit. As that rain approached Dave and his groomsmen were ready to rough it, and looked just wonderful pulling off the perfect groomsmen look!
As their ceremony approached the sky broke and the sun started shining bright! Colorado was rewarding them with some of their best weather that day. As Dave walked down the aisle I heard a whisper “He’s in a hurry! He’s waited years for this!” Of course my heart melted and I couldn’t wait for him to see how beautiful his bride looked!
Between their beautiful ceremony, and their reception they were able to sneak around Arrowhead with me for some photos and sweet alone time. There was one moment that stood out to me as I set them up for a photo at the infamous signature hole. As I walked away, I peeked back at the couple and noticed them embracing one another. I giggled as they were going to have to hold that pose as I drove my cart around the pond, but it was so heartwarming to know that they wanted to be that close throughout the entire day – not just when I was taking photos.
It was such a honor to be a part of this beautiful day. Congratulations Robyn & Dave! -Allie
