Oh wow, what a beautiful day! Alyssa and Ryan – and their moms – have been planning this day for a very long time and every detail came together as perfectly as they hoped. After seeing some of Alyssa’s craft skills I think that she could totally open up an Etsy shop. How cool are her shoes?! She did the lace detailing herself and now I want every pair of my shoes to look like that. Her “something blue – I do” on the bottom of them was such a sweet touch. I just loved the soft pinks and the way that they popped against the trees. We also had a lovely soft rose-haze in the sky from the recent fires that really complimented their colors so well.
Some of my favorite memories of the day were during getting ready when Alyssa’s Nana sat with her while she got her hair done. It was really special how much both Ryan and Alyssa valued their families and made them all an important part of the day. Alyssa even wore her grandmother’s ashes in a charm on her bracelet and kept her photo close by. Her first look with her dad was so touching and I loved the embroidered handkerchief and cufflinks that she got for him. While I am at it, she is really just a great gift-giver – Ryan’s flask was not only meaningful, but it definitely got broken in!
Allie and I couldn’t stop talking about how gorgeous Alyssa was – I mean seriously, that dress!! And although Ryan isn’t super comfortable in front of the camera, when they were together he just lit up. We had so much fun with you guys and are so crazy happy for you!
