We never grow tired of the surprises that being a Colorado wedding photographer brings. Sammi and Andy’s Spring wedding at Baldoria On the Water was beautiful with apple blossoms, bouquets and snow! I learned quickly from their mountain engagement session that they were open to any situation if it means good photos. We hiked through tall grasses and crossed rivers to get to the perfect spot in the hills. It was no surprise that on Sammi and Andy’s wedding day that they’d be down for venturing outside into the snow. The snow and blossoms made for a beautiful backdrop for their first look at the park across the street from Baldoria.
We then joined in with their awesome wedding party where I saw more familiar faces. I had the pleasure of photographing Shawna and Justin‘s engagement last year and they were a blast to work with in their wedding party.
One of my favorite memories from the day was how Sammi honored her Dad’s spirit at the wedding. Her Grandfather walked her down the aisle in place of her Dad Kelvin. They also shared the first dance with her. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house seeing Sammi dance with memories of her Dad. After that, the dance floor flooded with friends and family and continued the celebration of these two awesome people coming together! Allie and I had so much fun being a part of their day and can’t wait to watch them grow together over the years! –Ryan
