I had another great adventure with Shaina and Joe this weekend at Golden Gate Canyon for their engagement session. They made a serious commitment to their engagement session and crafted their own tent! These two are my heroes. They take those cool DIY pinterest projects that you say you could totally do but don’t and actually make them happen!
I had a great time roaming the woods with them and then helping start a campfire to prepare for smores. I couldn’t resist joining them in preparing the perfect marshmallow. You really can learn a lot about a person by how they roast their mallow. Joe has the methodic, slow, even roasting approach. Shaina goes straight for the charbroiled skin so she can then peel off a layer, eat it and roast the inside again. Me? Well I like to get my first mallow fix by doing it Shaina’s way. I then prepare my smore the way Joe does. I think we’re a pretty good fit, ay?
They made the day even more special by giving tribute to their late corgie, Pepper. She had her own bed by their tent and a tennis ball present to represent her favorite past time. So sweet!
Thanks Joe and Shaina for creating some of my personal favorite experiences and making them unique to you. I’ll go camping with you any time! –Ryan
