Oh my, Alyssa and Quinn are wonderful. I knew this from the first moment I met them. They just can’t hide it. They are both sweet and outgoing and radiate joy. When we did their engagement session in the middle of winter, on top of a mountain, and they were willing to trek through 2 ft of snow and bear the freezing cold, I knew they were adventurous and easy going. Their wedding was going to be incredible no matter what happened because they are incredible. Then you add their families. Both their mom’s are so beautiful and loving. They wanted the best for their children and were so excited when they found it. Actually, that is a great story.
Michelle TeKolste and Mitch Conley actually knew each other. Well, Alyssa and Quinn went to middle school and high school together. No they were not middle school or high school sweet hearts, but they did know each other. One of the stories I heard over and over again is that Mitch told Michelle that Quinn actually had his eye on Alyssa for a long time. He didn’t want to go to Prom, but when asked IF he could take anyone who would he take he quickly responded Alyssa. We are all glad that Quinn is patient and persistent. Although Alyssa seemed to always have a boyfriend, Quinn waited. We are so glad he did because when they finally got together everyone knew it was meant to be. These two have an ease together, a deep connection that feels like has been there forever. Maybe it has.
Their wedding day was everything I thought it would be an more. Alyssa’s mom Michelle did so much work to make it special. When I walked into the suite at The Brown Palace it was full of decorations, customized napkins and customized macarons as well as a whole spread of delicious food and champagne. All the girls were giggling with excitement. They all surrounded Alyssa in pure joy. The boys were no different. Quinn’s older brother’s flanked his side as his best men. They were so much fun during getting ready, laughing, joking, and celebrating. When I saw Quinn for the first time I asked him if he was nervous. He said “yes.” “Really?” I asked. “Nah, of course not.” he exclaimed obviously. It was as if he was saying “Katie, there is no way in the world I could be nervous to marry Alyssa.” I was overjoyed.
The night was dotted with quiet personal vows during the ceremony, just between them. Well planned toasts by the best men with advice taken from Quinn’s favorite movie Forrest Gump, perfectly choreographed dances, beautiful hand panted branches reaching towards the giant chandeliers at Mile High Station and so much more. I wish I could tell you all the wonderful things about the wedding but there is too much for one person. Hopefully the photos say more than I ever good. Idid have this thought, wouldn’t it be cool to share stories from the wedding by all the people where were there. If you were part of Alyssa and Quinn’s day share a fun story or moment in the comments. Let’s continue to celebrate this wonderful couple!
Cheers Alyssa and Quinn, you guys rock!
