When you have two people who the world is drawn to, who light up so many others lives, come together something magical happens. This is Annie and Marc. Kind-hearted, fun, genuine, interesting, and just downright lovable, Annie and Marc asked me to be a part of their wedding and I was like … UH YEAH!!! I am pretty sure I fell out of my seat with excitement. When they told me it was at a winery in Palisade, well, I am pretty sure my heart stopped for a minute. I knew, this was going to be awesome.
It started out bright and early for Ali and I as we took our morning drive to Palisade. The 4 hours went by like a breeze as the excitement built to see the two of them. We found out the boys had gone to the go cart track earlier that morning – which we were both sad to have missed out on- and were heading to a local winery Red Fox Cellers to do some eating, drinking, and well hopefully they would get their suits on. Marc jumped at the thought as it was one step closer to seeing and marrying the beautiful Annie.
I was with the girls at The Wine Country Inn while they bustled around and got beautiful. Annie’s maid of honor April was giddy at the idea of Annie and Marc getting married. They were game for fun celebrations like jumping on the bed and getting out a little of their excitement. Annie looked beautiful, as anticipated, and then she put on the dress. Oh how that dress just fit her in every possible way. She was glowing. All dolled up she was ready for her couple extra accessories, like her pin of her sorority, her parents original wedding rings pinned to her dress, and of course her motocross boots… ok she didn’t wear the boots all day, but had to celebrate Marc’s love of motocross.
We headed into the vineyard for the first look and it all just took off from there. I couldn’t contain my excitement to see them together and am pretty sure on multiple occasions let out a gasp or scream or some form of giddy giggle. They are perfect together. Sweet and soft in every move yet make each other laugh. I am pretty sure Marc’s cheeks were sore from smiling. Even when I tried to get the dapper straight face out of him I know he can rock, it took a couple minutes to get him to stop smiling.
The whole day was perfect. It was a wedding I laughed at, cried at, swooned at, said “just one more” when I meant “I could spend forever taking pictures” and felt like I watched two friends get married. Maison la Belle Vie is a gorgeous quaint space. From the views of the mesas to the rows and rows of grapes, the ceremony was intimate, the cocktail hour and dinner was full of laughs, lawn games, good wine and custom brewed beer for the couple. We caught sunset at just the right golden light over the vineyards and rode their bicycle built for two around the drive. Then they danced the night away inside the barn, taking a break for the blood moon eclipse, and then partying into the night. I loved all the little touches too. The bike theme throughout with bike chain cuff links, bike bells as gifts, and an awesome balloon bicycle send off.
If you can’t tell, I couldn’t be happier for these two. Annie and Marc you are going to live a long fruitful life together. Enjoy every second of it!
