“A man of ordinary talent will always be ordinary, whether he travels or not; but a man of superior talent will go to pieces if he remains forever in the same place….” – Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
Deepali and Michael’s wedding reception reminded me of the importance of travel in my own life. The power in exploring the ends of the earth, and, more importantly learning to share those travels with someone you love. Deepali and Michael had already been married recently and wanted to celebrate their union with their local friends and family in Denver. Deepali’s family from India traveled the oceans to witness their new lives together in Colorado. They had a very intimate renewal of vows in the library of The University Club. It was just them, myself and their officiant. I get to witness and capture some pretty special moments!
We continued in the library where they read books to each other, just like they did on their first date! I thought it was perfect that their just happened to be a peacock in the library. The peacock is India’s national bird and represents grace, joy, beauty and love. What a great memory to have start out their adventures together!
I loved Michael’s velvet three piece suit and how it complimented the lush fabrics of Deepali’s traditional dress. If you know me just a bit, you know that I love food. Oh man, the Indian inspired buffet that was catered was out of this world! Michael surprised Deepali by singing a few classic love songs to her at the reception. He warmed the room with his presence and lit up Deepali’s eyes so sweetly. Thank you Deepali and Mike for sharing your special day with me! It was such an honor! – Ryan
