I have been looking forward to Julie and Steven’s wedding for so long, I can’t believe it finally happened and now I get to share these awesome photos! They really planned the perfect winter destination wedding. Beaver Creek couldn’t be prettier than during this time of the year, and all of the guests had a great attitude about the chilly weather – even though most traveled in from Texas. There were a few little snow storms on their wedding day, but every time that we were ready to start photos, it cleared up leaving a fresh layer of powder – so super pretty! I felt really bad that Steven had to go “hiking” in sometimes KNEE-deep snow in his tuxedo shoes, but he handled it like a champion and every frozen moment was worth it for the epic views that we got for the first look at the top of the mountain.
I think one of my favorite moments of the day is when Ali and I got to ride down the gondola with Steven and Julie while they exchanged gifts. The first time that I saw Steven really tear up is when he saw the watch the she got for him. And Julie immediately changed her earrings out for the ones that he bought for her. Good gift-giving skills you two!
I loved all of the ladies unique sparkly champagne colored dresses. They looked amazing against the snowy backdrop and their flowers were perfectly coordinated to fit the winter theme but still brought a little bit of life into the pictures. And come on – how cool are those fur shawls?! I need to take lessons from Julie on striking that incredible piercing pose that she does – she belong on the cover of a magazine! I am so in love with her snowy bridal portraits, but I am also glad that I had time with her during her bridal portraits earlier this fall – check them out here.
The whole day was incredible, all of their friends and family were amazing to be around, but nothing will compare to how much fun these people know how to have. The whole reception Ali I were loving the dance moves and seeing the mad skills of balancing drinks on their heads! I am so incredibly honored that I got to be part of your celebration. Thank you Julie and Steven for treating me like a guest and for being so darn photogenic!
