Rain couldn’t darken Heather and Nick’s smiles at their wedding last week at Brookside Gardens! From the moment that Janae and I stepped into the rooms where they were getting ready, we could feel their warmth and excitement for the big day. I loved that they shared vows as part of their first look. The swelling of excitement was tangible as they stood back to back in the aspen grove of the gardens. Nick’s expression says it all when he turned around to see Heather for the first time. Wow!
Their wedding party and family was equally warm and filled with joy throughout the day. I didn’t hear one remark about the rain fussing with the bridesmaid’s dresses. I could tell how excited they were for Heather and wouldn’t be phased by a few drops. Rain can be especially fun to photograph in as long as people are as cool as Heather and Nick! Some of my favorite photos are when the sunset and we wrapped up with a few photos under the umbrella and a pretty steady shower. After feasting, dancing and drinking with family, they joined me outside again once the skies dried up for fun dance under the market lights at Brookside Gardens. I loved this unique perspective that I was able to get. What do you think?
Thanks Heather and Nick for welcoming us into your lives! -Ryan
