Last week I got to travel up to Steamboat Springs for Kristen & Keith’s engagement session. Kristen and I had been planning their session for a few weeks. We got rained out a few times, so I was a little nervous as I drove through a little bit of snow and a little bit of rain. Luckily we had sunshine for their entire session, plus those fluffy white clouds that we all dream of. It was the perfect afternoon, and I was so excited to finally meet this couple!
Kristen and Keith met at Colorado State University where they were friends for a few years before ever becoming an official couple. Although Keith admits to being the guy with the secret crush early on I can tell Kristen is so happy he finally made his move! I’m pretty happy he did too, because now I get to be their photographer!
At every shoot there is always something awesome that stands out to me, and although the weather was pretty epic on my way to their session that’s not what stands out the most. What did stand out the most was that every time Kristen and Keith got close and had a second to breathe between photos Keith would rest his forehead on Kristen and give her a sweet little kiss. Every time I saw this I melted a little and thought to myself “I am so happy they picked me to be their photographer!” They are seriously so cute.
Kristen and Keith, thank you so much for showing me around your beautiful town and trusting me to be your photographer. Words cannot express how happy I am to be a part of your journey together. I am so excited for your wedding at The Stanley Hotel in August! Only 83 days to go! -Allie
