Paige + Jake | Colorado Golf Club Micro Wedding

By Elevate Photography • June 14, 2020 • Wedding

It has for sure been an interesting year. Paige and Jake had set their wedding date long ago for June 6th. With all that is going on in the world, they had to make some adjustments to their plans as well as emotional adjustments. It is not an easy decision to go from a big wedding with so many people that you love to just your immediate family but I am so glad that Paige and Jake made it. It was the perfect time for them to get married. They were ready to be husband and wife no matter what the circumstances. Because honestly, that is what mattered. Paige and Jake have a timeless, deep, emotional, joyful, and enduring love. It is something I have admired from the first time I met them. You could see it in everything they did. It was apparent with how they talked to each other, how they looked at each other, how they made decisions, how they walked together. It was apparent in the overt big ways and in the small subtle details. I think this is how I knew that whatever decision they decided to make, it was going to be amazing.

And it was. Oh, did I cry?! In all fairness, everyone did. It was just all so beautiful. The moments were real. We had the time to sit in each one and soak it all in. They could spend all the intentional time with each of their family members. I haven’t even mentioned how sweet and wonderful their families are. I think that is what made it additionally epic. They were clearly all about family and the intensity of those relationships is remarkable. I loved hearing Jake’s little sister tell stories of a supportive, loving older brother that she still seeks out all the time. Then there were silly stories and sappy stories. They hit every emotional facet of my body. I thought I could hold it in, but when you see love like that it wells up from your stomach and pours out your eyes without consciousness.

I think their celebration was perfect. I know their marriage is going to be even better. In 50 years, I will still want to ask them for advice on how they make it so special.

Congratulations Paige and Jake, you did it!
