Winter is so beautiful. Especially here in Colorado where we are fortunate enough to have the Rocky Mountains. With snow dusting the peaks and trees and the whitewash of the aspens and snow, it is the perfect backdrop. Zu and Jeb love it as much as I do. So they decided that they would have a destination wedding with all their favorite people in Vail. I had been talking to Zu and Jeb for a while now and I was so excited to finally meet them in person.
These two people exceeded my expectations in every way. I knew they were sweet and kind and smart and interesting. I knew they loved each other to the ends of the world and back. I knew all this in my head as I had talked to them about all the details of their story. But it was not until I met them in person, saw their smiles and how they hold hands to get on the elevator that I really understood how wonderful these two are. Their engagement session was just the beginning of their wedding weekend and after spending the afternoon with them, I was beyond excited for their wedding in just two short days.
Zu and Jeb were snuggling and laughing from the get go in the grove of aspens.
We thought we would dance and explore in the snow a little to stay warm.
Their buffalo plaid stands out perfectly in the white aspens.
Someone carved a heart in the aspens for us!
The snow is a simple accent to a beautiful ring.
Gorgeous mountain views on top of the gondola.
