Chrissy and Kyle had the perfect mountain wedding. Everything they did was a perfect reflection of them as individual people, them together as a couple, their families coming together and the essence of the mountains. I knew this was the case after the months of planning with Chrissy. She is an ideal bride. She is relaxed and smiley, loves all the people around her and is very organized. I loved all the little details she put into the wedding.
I got my first real taste of how the wedding was going to be at the rehearsal dinner the night before. Once you are chosen to be a part of things with these families you become family. I have never had such a warm welcome as when I walked in. Chrissy had her usual big smile on her face and both of their families were lovely and full of life. It started with an intimate dinner. Then the rest of the family and friends started coming and there was loads of hugging and kissing. Oh the kissing. It is my favorite thing to see how excited they are to see each other.
The wedding day was even more epic and amped up then the rehearsal dinner. The girls were bustling around in their cute little shirts, laughing, and having a great time. Grandma was hanging out by the couch and I could not get a smile off her face. I loved spending the morning with these girls with all the people around and the fire crackling in the background. The boys were having a blast too joking around and making sure Kyle looked as good as possible.
Then, when I thought it couldn’t get better, Chrissy’s dad pulled up in the horse and carriage to take her to the chapel. Seeing the big beautiful black horses and stark white carriage in contrast to all the colors of the hills was a site to behold. Her dad’s face was as darling as we anticipated when he saw her for the first time and the carriage ride was so much fun. They even let me sit up front and spy on them.
This is just how they roll. They day just kept getting one step better with each thing we did. Kyle and Chrissy got to take that same carriage back to SaddleRidge from The Chapel at Beaver Creek. It was dreaming winding through the hills there and seeing all the fall colors. The smile Kyle gets on his face with Chrissy is priceless. It is so big and full of life. The venue is incredible. It is equally homey, colorado chic and grand. The cuban band that filled the air was jamming. Everyone was dancing before they were even done with dinner. It was all to celebrate a couple whose love really shines through each other and clearly through all the people the touch. It is contagious and you want desperately to catch it. It was a sight to be seen and a joy to experience.
Thank you Chrissy and Kyle for letting me be a part of an awesome day. We were still smiling and in awe all the way home. You are going to have a truly wonderful life together!
