Holly & Tyler had a beautiful art deco inspired wedding overlooking downtown Denver from the rooftop of the Denver Athletic Club.
They both started with getting ready surrounded by their wedding party and close family in the classic environs of the athletic club, which was founded in 1884 and is in one of Denver’s oldest building. Holly looked gorgeous in her satin dress from The Bridal Collection and with her classically beautiful flowers by Ivy Lane Floral. Tyler was looking pretty dapper himself in his classic tux. They were excited to see each other, so we went out to the front of the DAC for their first look. It was obvious from their tears when they saw each other for the first time that day that they were so happy to be together. Neither one of them stopped smiling for the rest of the day!
We headed down to the Denver Center for Performing Arts to continue photographing with some classic architecture. We couldn’t resist stopping by the “Blue Bear” on the way for a fun bridal party photo.
After photos were complete, everyone headed back to the DAC for Holly and Tyler’s rooftop ceremony and reception. With their friends and family looking on and Denver’s skyline surrounding them, they said “I do”.
They then enjoyed cocktails and hor d’oeuvres before being announced into their first dance. The night continued to just get better and better as they enjoyed delicious food (the salmon was amazing) prepared by the Denver Athletic Club’s chef, listened to heartfelt toasts, cut their cake and danced the night away with Denver as their backdrop.
Their wedding was elegant in every way and I was honored to be able to document their special day for them. I wish them the best as they enjoy married life together! – McCory
