After 10 years of being together and blissfully merging their families they have made it official and become a family! This was such a fun wedding to be at. From the beginning of the day the bride and her friends and daughters were beaming. I really don’t think I could get a smile off of her face that’s how happy she was. It was a true testiment to the beauty of marriage. She was so excited to say “I do” even though she had committed her heart to Bob a long time before that.
The groom was buzzing around and wanted everything to be perfect for his bride to be. It was so fun to see him attending to the details and making sure everything was in place. You can tell that it was a wonderful expression of how important she is to him.
They each have a boy and a girl. They have grown up together through their formative years and although it was said many times, it didn’t have to be, you can tell that they were all such good friends. All the kids are around the same age and there was a comfort with each other and an excitement to call each other truly family. One of the sweetest things was when they did a sand ceremony that had not 2 but 6 bottles of sand. One for each member of the family. It was cool to see how significant the kids are in their lives and to this marriage. In most marriages you focus on the bride and groom and the new journey they are about to make. This was a bigger celebration of a family coming together and celebrating their collective unity.
Now don’t get me wrong, we got to celebrate and see this couple’s love prominently. The way the bride’s brother, the officiant, described their support and love for each other was heart touching. The groom’s vows, however, stole the show. I am pretty sure I cried. The words were sweet, genuine, intricate, intimate and well thought out. She yelled at the end of them something like ” And I get to marry you!” She was so excited. We all were. In that moment, you see the depth of someones heart for another person. It really makes you appreciate a great love and life shared.
With all the sweet words and heartfelt moments there was equal party and celebration. This was a FUN bunch of people. There was not a dull moment or face in the bunch. Between the wedding party being playful during photos to the opening of the dance party we were all having a good time! Everyone looked amazing in their deep red and tuxes. It fell perfectly together with the castle ambiance. The bride, well she is a knockout. The dress from The Bridal Collection had the look of lace with modern beading and hits of fun pattern in the beading. I was drooling. the groom, wore his tux like a pro and when his bride walked down the aisle, and let’s face it, anytime she looked at him he wore his smile even better. It was a wedding you leave uplifted.
Thank you for letting me be a part of your day. You have a lovely and admirable relationship and I know your marriage is going to be incredible!
