There you see her
Sitting there across the way
She don’t got a lot to say
But there’s something about her
Sitting there across the way
She don’t got a lot to say
But there’s something about her
And you don’t know why
But you’re dying to try
You wanna kiss girl
But you’re dying to try
You wanna kiss girl
Yes, you want her
Look at her, you know you do
It’s possible she wants you too
There’s one way to ask her
It’s possible she wants you too
There’s one way to ask her
It don’t take a word, not a single word
Go on and kiss the girl, kiss the girl
Go on and kiss the girl, kiss the girl
– The Little Mermaid
It was the perfect song to play just before their first kiss. It gets even better when your little brother, who officiated the wedding starts lipsyncing it and it is a total surprise to your groom. Robyn and Brett’s wedding was full of fun, loving, and unique moments and surprises. This is just one of many and it was hilarious and so sweet. To say it sums up the mood of the wedding is maybe a little much, but it for sure showed the vibe of the wedding and Robyn and Brett’s personalities.
You know how when you meet someone without their significant other you try to start picturing that person. With every word they say about them, with every expression you build the ideal person for them. Robyn is an instant friend. Her smile lights up a room, she makes you feel comfortable and at ease and frankly, you just can’t help but love her. So when I started learning about who Brett was I was already invested in wanting him to be the best for Robyn. Someone as sweet and joyful as her. Boy, was I blown out of the water when I actually met him.
After spending the morning with Robyn and her girls getting ready, drinking mimosas on the deck at Black Canyon Inn, giggling on the couch and enjoying her wedding day I was already having so much fun. Robyn’s family was amongst the barrage of sweet moments and silly laughs. Her mom came out in her robe, Harry Potter socks and fancy shoes to start out the celebrations. Then her dad saw Robyn in her dress for the first time and the look between them was pricelist. So as the momentum of the day builded so did my expectations of Brett.
Then him and his boys came strolling up for picture time and the same instantanous reaction I had to Robyn we had with Brett. He was so full of life you could see it from the distance. His boys, helped carry this feeling as everyone was laughing and joyful. We took pictures and messed around and the whole time I thought to myself, yep, Robyn and Brett are going to kill this thing called marriage.
The ceremony was windswept and wintery but nobody cared as they watched Robyn and Brett stare into each others eyes and brush tears away. We all laughed and cried and well, sang along at the end.
The surprises kept coming as Robyn bought them custom Barringer Green Bay Packer’s jerseys to wear to their entrance. The dads had cufflinks of Robyn and Brett’s baby pictures on them and Robyn and Brett surprised their parents with a first dance of their wedding song. The song happened to be the same for both couples so they enjoyed dancing together. At the last moment Robyn’s family jumped in for a surprise dance of their own. A songs through the ages including solo Backstreet boys song by her brother and a couple of lifts. It was amazing.
Overall the day continued to surprise and amaze me. We left the wedding only to continue to talk about it the whole way down the mountain and into the next day. Needless to say we love Robyn and Brett and were so happy to be a part of their wedding.
Congratulations you two, you are really something special!
Thanks to all the awesome vendors:

That is one good looking wedding party in their navy dresses and white fur capes. The boys look good too in their grey.
