As Robert waited for Rori to walk up behind him so he could spend his wedding day with his almost wife he said to me “There is no doubt in my mind, this is the smartest decision I have made in my entire life.” You saw it in his eyes and you felt it in his actions. He was beyond in love with Rori. Oh, this was going to be a day full of tears.
It was, but it was also a day full of laughs. These two are larger than life. From the first moment I talked to Rori I wanted her to be my friend. She just radiates happiness and you can tell right away she takes care of everyone around her. Robert is her perfect amplifier. Like his best man’s speech said, “He will do anything for anyone”. He is happy and excited and over achieving. I saw this with ever one of his groomsmen. He had a deep bond with each one of them. Then when he is with Rori he is unstoppable. They are sweet and hilarious and you just want to hang around them hoping they will rub off on you.
So you can imagine that their wedding was epic. Like I said I didn’t stop crying or laughing. It was almost too much, almost. Between the sweetness Rori and her dad had, with him calling her “little buddy” to all the groomsmen blessing the rings individually with Robert before the ceremony there was intention and love behind everything they did. The ceremony they wanted to be light and funny and the officiant delivered. Cheers erupted as Robert walked down the aisle. They even waved and thanked their guests during their ceremony.
The speeches were heartfelt and perfectly delivered. Just before that we were entertained by each table singing for their supper. There was so much to enjoy and be thankful for at this wedding. My heart was so full.
Thank you Rori and Robert for letting me be a part of such a wonderful day. I know that if your marriage is half as great as your wedding then you are going to be entertained, joyous and deeply in love for the rest of your lives. Congrats!
