Shelly and Chris got married on the perfect fall day at Cielo at Castle Pines. It was warm and sunny and full of color and I knew it was going to be perfect. When I walked into the girls hotel suite at the Holiday Inn Express in Castle Rock they were dancing to N’Sync’s “Bye Bye Bye.” Yes, it was going to be a perfect day. The room was full of energy and happiness. All the bridesmaids were singing and laughing and watching Shelly get her hair done. I must have heard them tell her how beautiful she was 20 times. Overtime they looked at her they were excited.
The whole day carried through with this excitement. The boys were having a blast getting ready on their own and then living it up in the limo on the way to St. Thomas More Catholic Church for the ceremony. The girls, were seeing Shelly in her dress the first time and “ooing” and “ahhing”. Her dad came in too and was in just as much awe. Together her mom, dad and Shelly enjoyed the moments before they walked down the aisle. Yep, I cried.
We had the chance after the ceremony to hang out and take our time with photos. We got to Cielo nice and early and the wedding party was brave enough to climb the waterfall there. Then we headed across the street to get a taste of the fall colors. There we got to play in the leaves and let loose a little. The colors were amazing in the trees. They had reds, yellows, and golds of all sorts. Finally we got to be on the top of the world at Daniels Park. Oh it was breath-taking. Chris and Shelly were bold and adventurous enough to climb the rocks. It was proven for epic views. I have never seen anything like it.
Shelly and Chris made that view special. In all that beauty the love between them made it very hard to take your eyes of them. They are kind and sweet to each other. They had a blast together. These are two people who treat other’s so well and with so much love. When they come together that all pour out onto each other. It is something truly special.
The best part of the wedding was when Shelly’s sister and brother did a rap and dance to go with it. It was epic and hilarious. She did such a great job and then Shelly and her bridesmaids finished it off with a dance of her own. Shelly is a dancer so it is only right that she would have a bunch of fun dancing at their wedding. The day started strong and finished off stronger. I was so glad that I got to be a part of it!
Congratulations to an amazing couple! You have found the perfect match in each other.
Thanks to all the incredible vendors who made Shelly and Chris’s day special.
