Whenever I think of Sarah and Rick I get so happy, excited, joyed and sentimental. These two are some serious gems of people. As soon as I met Sarah I instantly wanted to be her friend. She is warm and sweet and full of joy. She just radiates happiness and you want to be around it. Then you add Rick to the equation and you are not even sure what to do with yourself. They just get so awesome! I was beyond excited to be a part of their wedding!
The day was perfect. It was a sunny Colorado day with cool gentle breeze. Grant Humphreys Mansion sits on a hill in the heart of Denver. It is a hidden gem of history in the middle of the city. When you walk in you feel the grandeur as well of the homeyness of the space. It is a perfect spot for a Whitney Lambert Wedding. Rick arrived early, rearing to go. Sarah arrived arm and arm with her dad in her usual fashion, laughing. The amazing thing is that all their people are the best too. They are just like them. High caliber, happy and wonderful people.
The first look with Sarah’s dad was so sweet. His face was priceless and he refused to read the card from his present because he might lose it. I have to admit, I love when dad’s lose it. You know how much their little girl affects them. In his speech he read a story Sarah wrote about outings they have. He was beaming with pride. Oh the joy.
The day went off without a hitch. Like I said the wedding party was so lively that they were having a grand time during photos and beyond. The light was beautiful behind the mansion after the ceremony as Sarah and Rick snuggled and laughed and enjoyed being married. The speeches were hilarious and clever. They even included a round of margaritas specially made for the couple. And then their was the dance party. Oh, the dance party! Everyone was getting down in the intimate party room downstairs. Janae and I had a blast to say the least!
We could not be more excited and honored to have met these two people. If that was as far as it went I would feel blessed. To be a part of their wedding was beyond my expectations. They each deserve the best and I think they got more than anyone could ever have dreamed in each other. Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Lambert. You are something special!
