I originally met Cristin in 2014 at her best friend, Emily’s wedding. I knew then, how great this girl was. She was just so much fun, relaxed, light-hearted and deeply committed to her friends. She was dating Peter at that time too and although I didn’t really get to meet him, I could tell she had something special going on. When she called me to photograph their wedding I was over the moon! I couldn’t believe they wanted me to come be a part of it. I felt like I was in some special club.
I was right too. Man, these people are awesome! Not only them but everyone around them. I mean, I assumed as much because the friends I knew are some of my favorite couples but then seeing all of them come together was something else. It was such a joyful, intentional and well-spent day. As soon as we got there, the girls were just hanging out casually. Not like they had nothing to do that day, but like they were fully enjoying each moment before moving to the next. The boys were just as fun and vibrant. During wedding party photos I kept thinking to myself “am I too relaxed? Why do I feel like I don’t have a care in the world?”. Something about being around them is just uplifting.
To see them get married and seal that deal makes my heart happy. Two awesome people who clearly make each other better and fuller committed to doing life together and then sharing it with all their favorite people. It is a ripple effect that will just make the world a little better. I am so happy I got to be a part of it! Congrats Peter and Cristin, I basically think your marriage is going to be epic!
