Heather and Chris are my kind of people. They are sweet, laid back, adventurous, happy and full of life. Their wedding was 11 years in the making. They knew early on that they found their person and have spent the last years building a relationship that is inspiring. This was the day that Chris had been waiting for, when he could scream from the top of the mountain “I love this girl!” And he did! Right in the middle of the ceremony at the Beaver Creek Wedding Deck. It was glorious.
The whole day was pretty great if you ask me! The clouds had rolled in and it was calling for rain. Which is good luck on a wedding day but let’s be honest, every brides nightmare. However, it could not have turned out better. The clouds were soft and light and gave us the coolness from the hot Colorado sun, that you need when you are on the very top of a mountain. The light was perfect and the light rain that did come in the morning made the mountains glow with greens and yellows. It looked like a lush Scottish day. Which was perfect for Chris and his groomsmen’s ensembles.
They had a sweet and intimate wedding on top of the mountain. Heather’s aunt read as nice piece about love and Chris’s mom read the perfect poem about how love is like a dog. It was full of funny antidotes and thoughts and finished with a romantic and cute idea. It said “But most of all, love needs love, lots of it.
And in return, love loves you and never stops”
It is clear to see that Heather and Chris’s love is like this. They love each other fiercely and strongly. With adventure and calmness, with intention and with wit. They have loved each other already for 9 years and their forever will be just as sweet. I was so glad to meet them and be a part of there wedding.
Cheers to Heather and Chris!
