A marriage that starts at Cherokee Ranch and Castle is already a fairy tale, but when you get together too people that have fallen so perfectly together and in love you have something that fairy tales can’t begin to describe. Don’t get me wrong, I love a good romantic movie or disney happily after ever, but when you experience love in more than just a series of scenes. When you see how two people look at each other, hold hands, sink into a world of their own. That is when you see a really great love story. This is, in simple words, Sarah and Allen.
Sarah had the biggest and best smile on her face when I saw her for the first time on her wedding day. She was absolutely stunning and I could not wait to see her dress based on the amazing style she already had. All her girls were surrounding her and also waiting for the moment when it really felt real. When they could put on that dress and send her off to marry this amazing man.
Allen and his boys were all laughs just down the hall. Between their dress blues and wedding suits they were all looking great. But we all knew that would be the case, what I loved is that they had the perfect mix of class and fun!
One of my favorite moments of the day encompass multiple relationships in one. It told about where Sarah comes from, her relationship with her dad, her sense of humor, the man that Sarah is about to marry and how he makes not only her feel but her family too. This was when Sarah and her dad saw each other for the first time. Sarah’s dad was waiting to see Sarah for the first time. He was cracking jokes, showing us his fun socks and then got serious for the most of the wait and talked about Allen. He said how wonderful of a man he was. How much he loved him as a person and for Sarah. It was not mutually exclusive of I am happy for my daughter. You could see the joy in his eyes and his words that Sarah and Allen’s forever was happening. If that wasn’t good enough, his reaction when he saw Sarah was the best. He threw his hands up in the air in wow and excitement. He cried, they giggled, and well, it was great!
The rest of the day just solidified everything we knew. The beaming smile from Allen when Sarah walked down the aisle. The salute as they left, the epic sky after the ceremony and the sunset, ohhhh the sunset. It was a gorgeous day. Tracy from A Touch of Bliss did an amazing job setting up all the pretty details in the tent. My favorite detail was their personalized wedding gifts. They brewed 4 different types of beer for their guests to take home. It had personalized labels and names for each beer such as I love you a lot, apricot and Cascade Cream MatramoniALE. It was Colorado elegance at its best. All the tables were named for 14’ers and they had a summit journal for everyone to sign.
I think of all the things that speak to Sarah and Allen it is their willingness to join together in what each of them love and learn new things together. They often summit 14’ers together and Sarah has learned how to expertly rock climb while Allen was deployed so they could do those things together when he got back. That is not an easy feat people. Allen, shows his love strongly and solidly as well, showing Sarah the genteelness and affection she deserves. Like I said, the compliment each other perfectly and will continue to adventure together for many years to come.
I was so happy to be part of their wedding and send them off on an epic adventure of a marriage. They are already living happily ever after!
All the vendors were incredible! A big thank you to them.
