Some of my favorite couples are the nonchalant, easy-going type that are really excited to be with all their friends and family and have a big party. It really sends me over the edge when they are like Shannon and Joe who exhibit all these qualities and then bust out their private vows during their first look. The spark that they had at that moment was anything but nonchalant. It was electric. I love weddings like this. Weddings that when you see the two of them together you just know that the world is a good place. They are that perfect puzzle piece soul-mate type of fit that is rare. It is so perfect of a fit that it doesn’t flash at you big and dramatic, but when you see it it makes total sense.
To start a wedding with that kind of flare is great. To continue it with the people that Shannon and Joe had around them is incredible. It was such a fun, intimate and meaningful night. I could see the connection and intention they had with each person as they talked to them. No, it didn’t have to be deep meaningful conversations. Sometimes they were just sharing cheers or swinging around the dance floor. But all of them were meaningful. I suppose this speaks to Shannon and Joe as people. They obviously have that connection with each other, but to see it with everyone they talked to was really cool. You could tell that they have a good network to lean on in their marriage. A network that would do anything for them, including celebrating til the break of dawn.
What a joy it was to be a part of their day! Congrats Mr. and Mrs. McGovern!
As always the vendors deserve so many thanks!
