Sometimes you find a couple that you can’t quite believe are real. Caitlin and Jay are those people. There are many many wonderful things about them. They are so sweet, beautiful on the inside, gorgeous on the outside, talented, smart, funny, full of life, ambitious and compassionate. But I truly believe if you asked them what the best thing about them is they would say the other person. See Caitlin and Jay have a vivid love story. However, it transcends just being sweet and romantic and something to envy. It is so special because of how incredibly appreciative they both are of what they have.
Caitlin and Jay found the perfect match in each other. Then they took that connection and built a love that is based on excitement, trust, romance, friendship, and reality. They live together in each moment. We really saw that on their wedding day. When I first heard from Caitlin she wrote me a long email about the two of them and their wedding. I think she thought I was going to think she was crazy. But I appreciated it. I loved all the detail she had put into it and the time that she took to write out all her thoughts. This was a wedding I wanted to be a part of for sure. As I talked to them over time, I really saw their connection and intention. Their wedding was going to be great not because they got all the details right, but because their hearts were in the right place.
Their wedding day was just as perfect as we could all imagine and they deserved. It was calling for cold and rain all week. What we ended up having was a perfect 60-degree sunny day. The fall colors had come out just in time and all of Larkspur was orange, red and yellow. Caitlin was looking more stunning than I could have imagined. Her bridesmaids were total knockouts too. The best thing, they were having a blast. They were all so sweet and supportive and loving. As they all sat on Caitlin’s mom’s bed and toasted the bride to be they said lovely things about what they were excited for. I think the most touching was how excited Jay’s sister was for the two of them. Now that is a family you want to marry into.
Then we saw Jay. He was beaming. This man was so ready to marry the woman of his dreams. I mean just look at that reaction as she came down the aisle. That is priceless. He didn’t try and hold anything in. He just let himself be in that moment right there with his bride.
I feel like that is how the whole day went. They were present. They drank up every moment. with their friends, with their family and with each other. Not a drop was wasted. While all the details were perfect with gorgeous flowers, maroon and grey elegance, a custom photo booth, signature drinks, and a beautiful location, all the conversations, hugs and smiles were the stars. It was a perfect day to celebrate a love so big. I could go on about it forever. I think it is best to just say how happy I was to experience it with them. Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Eftimoski! You two have something truly special.
